Energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from the process to use methane fermentation digested slurry as liquid fertilizer was estimated with data for plant operation, transportation and application of digested slurry and N_2O emissions from soil surface of farmlands near the plant. The results indicated that it is effective to shorten the transporting distance between the methane fermentation plant and farmlands applied with digested slurry to reduce energy consumption and GHG emissions.
