The Corner-cube prism types of reflex reflectors that are used as the rear reflex devices of vehicles and the road markers are analyzed in terms of the following angles of the prisms.
One of them is an angle between normals of reflecting surfaces and the central axis of a reflex reflector, and the other is an angle between normals of reflecting surfaces of each prism.
A method of measurements of the above angles was devised and these angles of our products were measured to be compared with their reflecting characteristics.
As the result the reflectors which were composed of prisms with the above latter angle little deviated from the ideal one have sharp distributions of reflected light.
