Liquefaction test with Yilan Coal was carried out by using 1t/d Process Supporting Unit (PSU) and high pressure vapor liquid equilibrium (VLE) at the hot separator and differential pressure in the first liquefaction reactor were measured. The experimental VLE data were compared to the results calculated by Soave Redlich Kwong (SRK) equation of state, while gas holdup was predicted from the differential pressure in the reactor. As a result, it was found that the estimated K-value of each fraction had a good agreement with the experimental value. Futhermore gas holdup data was related to the gas superficial velocity based on the SRK equation of state.
