The Paris Agreement has long-term goals of 2°C, 1.5°C and net zero emissions. However, the large gaps between the expected global emissions from the mid-term targets submitted by each nation and the long-term targets are widely recognized. In addition, historical global emissions have not been successfully reduced effectively. CO2 leakages particularly from developed to developing countries can be observed. For deep emission cuts meeting the long-term goals, broad innovations are necessary as well as globally broad deployments of environmental friendly products and services. Innovations in information technologies will induce sharing economy. In the transport sector, fully autonomous cars will induce sharing economy, and may make great impacts on the energy systems.
