A questionnaire survey was conducted among visitors of a botanical garden to know how they use and evaluate kokedama plant. Kokedama plant is one of the small-sized ornamental plant that had become popular recently as an interior plant. Among 601 respondents the 68% were growing interior plants in their houses. Indoor foliage plants were attained highest ratio (85%, n=410) in answers to describe plants which respondents used in their houses, while the cactus attained second highest rate (22%), and the third was for kokedamas (16%). Almost all respondents (94%) indicated that they were satisfied or somewhat satisfied with kokedamas. Answers attained the highest ratio of positive evaluations of kokedamas were items concerned appearance ("having the beauty of appearance" and "I felt relaxed when I saw a kokedama"). These results suggest that kokedamas may become more popular in future, although the kokedamas popularity has remained in the 3rd place now.
