This study focuses on the three domestic green certification programs. A detailed comparison of the mechanisms, evaluation, features, and results was conducted. In the certification programs that evaluate the environmental performance of an entire building, the ripple effect on society and the neighborhood is emphasized, whereas the certification programs targeting green tends to emphasize biodiversity. In addition, the certification programs for green feature set characteristic evaluation indexes according to the development purpose of each program. However, direct influences on human lifestyle and comfort, such as the heat island effect and the healing effect tend not to be taken into account in the evaluation indexes. In order to disseminate higher quality green, a program that can comprehensively certify the market value of green spaces is necessary. Therefore, it is essential to review the current certification programs from these viewpoints. In addition, it may also be required to evaluate the validity of each certification program and to advance any necessary renewal of the program itself.
