Abstract

In this study, we purposed to make clear the condition of conservation of forest in urban area. For the purpose, we investigated the conservation device and the opinion of land owners who have the forest conserved by agreement, and surveyed the change of land use, the condition of forest as topography, vegetation, utilization and the control of that, in Ichikawa city. As the result, it became clear that
1) There is the probability of organizing land owners for forest conservation.
2) There is a difference in land use after change between forest that conserved by agreement and the others.
3) There is a difference in control of forest by topography, vegetation, utilization and state of land owners.
4) In general, the forest conserved by agreement comtroled lower than other forest. But, that became high level in the forest that had non special usage.
