Abstract

Today, one of the most important subjects on making a green affluent town in Japan is 'How many peoples actually conserve the plants and plant trees in their home site?' This study is to ascertain the fact on this subject. The fields of this study were four cities, that is Yokohama, Toyama, Hamamatsu, Takasaki. The method of this study was a Sampling on the basis of statistics. The survey had been done two times (1976 and 1982). The contents of this survey were the partition of the site, the extension and the reduction of a house, the variation of the vacant lot facing a road, the aspets of a green space and so forth. The aim of analysis was to grasp the quantitative change of a green space under the circumstance that either the site or the house of a residence had been changing. Through such a work, the writer wish to give a shape to the trend of making a green affluent town.
