Dissemination of seismic technologies to people and community is a key issue to reduce earthquake disasters as well as development of appropriate technologies in developing countries. This paper is a case study on a JICA project for dissemination of technology in Peru, which includes construction of model houses. During the project Pisco Earthquake hit the project area. This paper covers evaluation of the project, survey on performance of model houses in Pisco Earthquake, investigation on influences of the project in reconstruction of houses after the seismic event, and studies on dissemination of technologies of non-engineered houses to people and communities.
