Since the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake, awareness of tsunami evacuation has been grown. Tsunami refuge measures have been implemented in each coastal municipality. However, lots of problems to have efficient tsunami evacuation still remain in the coastal areas in Japan. This paper focuses on Katase-nishihama and Kugenuma district in Fujisawa City, having one of the most popular beach in Japan, as a research field to devise an appropriate tsunami evacuation strategy. It evaluates the capacity of tsunami evacuation buildings for evacuee from tsunami according to some situation. Then it runs simulation of evacuation time in terms of crowd density of evacuated people. Finally it proposes an tsunami evacuation map for the district with the results.
