In the Great East Japan Earthquake, it became clear that condominium residents, who had no or slight structural damage to their homes, evacuated to shelters because of fears such as aftershocks. Moreover, in the earthquake damage estimation, it is not expected that the residents of the apartment without damage on the building would rush to shelters due to the aftershocks and so on. In this study, we estimated the number of evacuees based on evacuation of condominium residents in the Tokyo special ward and grasped the actual situation of the local government regarding home evacuation promotion, and clarified the issues.
