Current Situation and Issues of Human Resource Development for Creating Tourism Destinations

－By Grasping the Efforts of Prefectural Offices－

Abstract

In the situation where it is necessary to develop human resources for creating tourism destinations in each region, what is the actual situation of human resources development for creating tourism destinations in Japan. This study conducted a survey on actual efforts of prefectural offices, and based on the results, clarified the current situation and issues of human resource development for creating tourism destinations. As results of the data analyses, the following were clarified. In recent years, various human resource development efforts have been implemented in each prefecture. In particular, the development of human resources, which is the core of creating tourism destinations, have been gathering attention. In addition, the concrete efforts of training are diverse, and there is a tendency to combine multiple of them. The important issues are gathering participants in human resource development training and supporting trainees after the training.
