This research focuses on heritage tourism in terms of the chronotopes. The chronotopes mean the matrices of time and space, connecting the actual world as source of representation to the world represented. It is said that our particular totally integrated sense of time and space shapes our sense of reality. Therefore, the chronotopes enable us to analyse an event that happens when a tourist visits tourist attractions with regard to heritage tourism because the elements of heritage tourism consist of time and space. As a case study, Blackpool in the UK provides us a quality example of relationship between heritage tourism and the chronotopes. It reveals that Blackpool incorporates past space into present one, creating the reality of heritage tourism for the future.

Main management issues in the Japanese accommodation industry include low productivity rate, chronic shortage of employees due to high employee turnover rate, and multilingual service for foreigners visiting Japan. In addition, COVID-19 brought a new issue of providing contactless services. Given these circumstances, one of the solutions to be considered is adopting IT and roboticization of the accommodation industry, and in fact, robot hotels such as HIS Group's "Henna Hotel" and China Alibaba Group's "FlyZoo Hotel'' have opened. Now that it is said that 49% of Japan's population can be replaced by AI and robots, how will the organizational model of the accommodation industry change? I have summarized the examples of typical accommodation facilities and categorized them in organizational models.

One of the most important considerations for the promotion of local tourism in the post-COVID era is to ensure that the same travelers stay in the same area or facility for as long as possible to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. As the business and leisure integrated market is believed to be in line with this consideration, this study aims to illuminate the characteristics of Japanese “bleisure” travelers and to consider initiatives to promote the implementation of bleisure in destinations. This study found that the adoption of bleisure traveling is associated with an individual’s previous travel experience involving overnight accommodation, age, experience with telecommuting, previous visits to a location, as well as whether they have a good balance between work and their private life.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, telework has been recommended for workers who are able to do it, and the practice has attracted much attention. This study consists of exploratory research on the relationship between one’s ideal surrounding environment and the desire to have a workcation. The results showed that the motivating factors for those intending to go on a workcation were nature, history, entertainment, cold and warm weather, art, and convenience, as well as vacation and work environments. In order to pass on, preserve, and utilize historical and cultural resources, which encompass a variety of resources and concepts, in a proper manner, it is necessary for not only the government but also the entire community to take part in the activities. In this study, we focused on the descendants of great men as people who have a deep relationship with their predecessors in the region and who are likely to become owners of undesignated cultural properties and bearers of cultural heritage. As a result, it became clear that the descendants of great persons have been inheriting and preserving historical and cultural resources in the region before the government took measures, that there is a difference in the perspective of history between the government and the descendants, and that the government considers the existence of the descendants to be attractive and has a cooperative system with them.
