In-situ observation has been done on the acceleration phenomena of heterogeneous nucleation of long-chain n-alcohol crystals, herewith referred to guest solutes, assisted by vapor-deposited thin films of amphipathic moiety of monoacylglyceroles, referred to templates. We observed that the films increased the heterogeneous nucleation rate quickly and guest crystals were sensibly dependent on molecular orient8tion of films by multplication effect of van der Waals interactions and hydrogen bond operating in the lateral packing direcdons of the amphipathic films.
