Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the changing process of structured group encounter (SGE) participants, remarks in Community Group Sharing(CGS), one of SGE experiences. The remarks were classified by 10 categories which 5 experts of SGE agreed to use as classifying criterion of members’ remarks in SGE sessions. The 10 categories were as follows ; ①Common Problems, ②Confrontation to others, ③Confrontation to self, ④Unintentional shift of focus, ⑤Assertion-oriented shift of focus, ⑥ Negative feeling to the staffs, ⑦Negative feeling to self, ⑧Positive feeling, ⑨Supportive feeling, and ⑩Disclosure of meaning. To verify the validity of those 10 categories, the current validity was examined by comparing with Rogers 15 categories. The association between Rogers, category and those of the study was affirmatively found. The 10 categories were applied to find the difference of kind of remarks among 4 CGS sessions of 3days residential SGE. The result showed that positive remarks trend to increase after negative remarks through 4 sessions of CGS.
