Verrucous carcinoma is a distinct clinicopathologic entity which should be distinguis from the usual squamous cell carcinoma in terms of its characteristic clinical appearance, biol cal behavior, and histopathologic features.
We experienced a case of oral verrucous carcinoma appeared in a 68-year-old woman successfully applied cryosurgery.
The postoperative course was uneventful with no recurrence after 5 years.
This case suggests that cryosurgery is an effective and worth while procedure for the trment of verrucous carcinoma.
