New efforts for FD activity at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences

A FD (Faculty Development) committee was established at Osaka University of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2007 when the necessity of FD in the university was appealed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the effort for improvement of educational activities and maintenance of the learning environment has been continued by successive FD chairpersons. I have been appointed the FD chairperson from 2017 to develop more such activities. FD is said to be the effort for improvement of the contents of lectures and a way of teaching, however, “the improvement of education power of the university” should be achieved by development of both research capability and education ability of teachers. On the other hand, I thought a student who is a main character in education sites should also take part in our FD activity. In this paper, I’d like to describe my new plan and the progress of our FD activity based on such ideas.
