Abstract

Certain key skills are required for diploma policy nowadays such as the skill to assess the knowledge acquired from the curriculum and to make substantial improvements in education. Faculty Development Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Meijo University is responsible for performing institutional research trials (IR) for the Faculty of Pharmacy. Firstly, we accumulated integrated information that is the foundation of IR by conducting a class evaluation survey and investigating learning activities, for example. Secondly, we established an environment enabling multidimensional analysis (IR infrastructure database) by investigating other learning outcomes. Furthermore, we created a long-term rubric for diploma policy and introduced measures to reflect students’ academic achievements back to them at the end of second semester after an academic year has passed. In the symposium, we will introduce the partial results of our study regarding the associations between learning outcomes and active learning method and learning approach. We will also introduce the results of self-evaluation of rubric about diploma policy.
