Abstract

When training pharmacists, who will be practicing in clinical settings, it is crucial to teach them to acquire the practical ability to handle drug therapies. Fukuyama University has cultivated students’ abilities to handle drug therapies. We have made efforts through practical training seminars where teaching staff and students who practice at various facilities during training periods can gather and have discussions together, enabling information sharing among students, and also narrowing down the seminar presentation topic to “Practice of Drug Therapies.” However, due to the spread of COVID-19, face-to-face practical training seminars became difficult to conduct. Hence, we used a video conferencing system to conduct practical training seminars. We would like to discuss the advantages of using a video conferencing system, dealing with technical problems, the complementary effect of participation from home, and the system’s future possibilities.
