Abstract

The December 2019 outbreak of novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) quickly spread into a pandemic. The Hyogo University of Health Sciences introduced on-demand online classes in 2020. This review reports on a case of “Shikujiri” as unintentional small trouble experienced by the author and how it was handled and avoided. Hyogo University of Health Sciences has introduced G Suite for Education and Moodle. On-demand class videos were created using screen capture and editing software. Since real-time responses of learners cannot be confirmed in on-demand online classes, it is considered necessary to devise ways to elicit learners’ opinions. However, since learners ask very few questions in on-demand online classes, it is necessary to provide an environment in which they can ask questions in a variety of formats. In addition, by preparing an environment that elicits opinions from learners, it is thought that this will lead to the understanding of items that need to be improved in their own classes and lead to the improvement of classes.
