This paper gives a general theory of the interference upon the aerodynamic characteristics of a wing due to boundaries of wind tunnels of such cross section as bounded by circular arcs and expressed by means of the bi-polar co-ordinates. The formulae for Prandtl's correction connected with several important types of cross section are deduced for the case when the distribution of lift is uniform across the span of the aerofoil, and the numerical values of the interference factor are calculated and shown in suitable figures.
