Abstract

Japan has been putting efforts to develop startup ecosystem. In Tokai region, the “Aichi Startup Ecosystem Formation” has been promoted through industry-government-academia collaboration. Tongali is an entrepreneurship platform for Central Japan's academic communities with the vision of a school where ideas and technology intersect, universities in the Tokai region have been collaborating to provide entrepreneurship education since 2015.

We have carried out a survey on startup ecosystem in U.S. (North Carolina, Florida and Texas) and Singapore to develop our regional ecosystem. We drafted a plan for future implementation based on the key elements for the formation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem and will use this knowledge to promote the formation of a unique entrepreneurial ecosystem.
