Abstract
Based on the hypothesis that there is correlative relationship between the evaluations and the concreteness of the activity plans of the units in charge of promoting industry-academia collaboration, I analyzed the correlation between the evaluation scores and the description concreteness levels of the policy statements of research supporting and administrative departments in AIST. It is revealed that there is strong correlation (0.7≤|R|≤1.0, 5% significance level) between the evaluation scores and the description concreteness levels of the units in charge of promoting industry-academia collaboration. The hypothesis is examined. Additionally, in case of the whole of the research supporting and administrative departments, it is revealed that there is moderate correlation (0.4≤|R|ƒ0.7, 0.001% significance level) between the evaluation scores and the description concreteness levels. In the future, it will be important to study what the activity plans of the units in charge of promoting industry-academia collaboration contributing to research outcome and research activities and the evaluation of the contribution should be.
