In the present report fundamental patterns of normal walking motions are discussed on four cases of ascent and descent walks on a slope way and a stairway. The observed data are analysed by the method the authors had already proposed and the results are compared with the results on a level way the authors had already reported. As the result, the patterns are clarified as follows: During stance period, important motions are to lift the upper body at an ascent walk and to reduce an impact when a foot contact the floor and make the motion of the upper body smooth at a descent walk. Important motions during swinging period are clear motions to make a toe (a heel at a descent walk on a stairway) not touch a walking road. Experimental results show that moments about each joint changes with walking posture in order to make such motions smooth.
