After the Second World War, public opinion polling started to take place in Japan. It has played a very important role in the process of democratizing Japan. Today, Japan conducts as many opinion polling as the United States and the countries in West Europe. The Japanese people like opinion polling and in addition they are interested in international comparison. We are going to explain about the multinational polling and derive some findings from them.
