Krenopelopia joganflava SASA and OKAZAWA, 1991, was considered synonymous with Rheopelopia ornata (MEIGEN, 1838) by KOBAYASHI and ENDO (2008). Although belonging to the genus Rheopelopia, the species is distinct from R. ornata in the tarsal claws without pulvilli. A synonymic note on R. joganflava is given herein.
