Abstract
Arge rufocincta GUSSAKOVSKIJ, 1935, and A. shinanensis TOGASHI, 1992, are synonymized with A. longicornis KUZNETZOV-UGAMSKIJ, 1927. Adults are redescribed, the host plants are recorded and the larvae are described for the first time, and the life history is briefly discussed based on rearings. Arge longicornis probably has one or two generations a year with polymodal adult emergence. The larvae are solitary leaf-feeders on Berberis (Berberidaceae). This is the first distribution record of A. longicornis from Korea.
