Abstract
A five-year-old male beagle was presented with gradually progressive papules and nodules on the perioral area, eyelids, head, medial pinnae, lumbosacral area, and ventral tail. Histopathologic examination of the skin lesions revealed multifocal pyogranuloma arround the hair follicules and vasculatures. Some sebaceous glands were replaced with restricted granuloma. Sterile pyogranuloma was suspected. The dog was treated with oral prednisolone, after which the skin lesions improved dramatically. The dog was diagnosed as having a variant of idiopathic sterile pyogranuloma syndrome based on the clinical features, although sebaceous adenitis was suspected histologically.
