Information is useful in saving lives when faced with a disaster. In this paper, focus on utilization and knowledge of flood disasters information, for example, hazard maps and other topographical maps. Then I will take the case of eastern Tokyo, which has high risk of flood damage, and introduce a wide-area hazard map, examples of proactive disclosure of risk information, past flood damage and its recognition today, and a local government that coexisting with flood risk. In addition, I offer some topics, issues of information transmission of the Typhoon Hagibis in 2019, the concept of time line and disaster education websites.
