Each foreign student has different attitudes and eagerness toward classes. Some students study outside of class on their own while others just come to class. What motivates a student who studies proactively to keep the motivation? One of our students who studied hard and eagerly was interviewed in order to understand her motivation. As the result, it was revealed that she made efforts to improve her Japanese proficiency and to build relationships among Japanese students and that her motivation was related to her age and disappointment in her home country. Understanding the mindset of students will help us support them.
