This study aimed to examine a method for practicing the phonemes of Japanese with e-learning materials. Ten students at a university in China, who are learning Japanese, practiced to perceive Japanese voiced and voiceless plosives with the e-learning material. The words were identified by analyzing the data, of which plosives were frequently perceived incorrectly. Moreover, it was discovered that the misperception of plosives by the student varied when a single word contained multiple voiced and voiceless plosives. Additionally, it was observed that the students sometimes perceived the plosive incorrectly even after they had perceived the same plosive correctly in the previous practice, suggesting the importance of continued practice when learning the language.
