The rapid development of generative AI is causing paradigm shifts in various fields, including education. This study examines the utilization of generative AI in Japanese language classes for international students at vocational schools to address their individual learning challenges. The results revealed that generative AI not only aids personalized learning but also promotes collaborative learning. Although issues to be carefully considered remain, the integration of generative AI into Japanese language education is expeted to advance. However, the role of teachers would change significantly with it. Therefore, it is suggested that increasing the number of teachers in a single classroom is necessary to implement this approach effectively.
