Abstract
Today in Japan, we are going into the era where all students can go into college or university. Because of this, the levels of university entrance exams have become easy and student's ability, knowledge, and interest have become diverse. Also, university is being evaluated by the students graduating that university, so it has become important for universities how much ability students get and how independent students get after they graduate. In such circumstance, student support on the basis of the diversity of students become important. Student support facilities have been made in each universities and the number of student support use have increased, but on the other hand, correspondence to students who cannot use the student support facilities is becoming a problem in many universities. To correspond to such students, the work of not only student support staff, but teachers which have much more time with students and is fond of finding students sign becomes very important. In this paper, we will consider and suggest about the role of teachers in the effort of student support, from the analysis of awareness and actual action of teachers to student support.
