Abstract
The real estate industry in china is an important one, which has been developing rapidly for last 35 years. This industry mainly consists of developers and estate agencies. The developers develop and supply condominiums for urbanites. Based upon urbanites desires for owning new housings and abundant investment funds, the company size of developers has been growing at a rapid rate in China. As the first step in our research of the real estate industry in China, this paper organizes the real estate history according to the government policies concerned with land owning, finance and housing loan. Then the current situation of the real estate industry in China is considered as well as the characteristics and challenges.
