Magnetic nickel-iron alloy film with Sn element was plated in a citric bath (a bath containing sodiumcitrate and citric acid) employing a periodical current pulsed plating technique accompanied by synchronous agitation. The agitation was periodically applied during a part of the cyclic time of current-off (∼15 sec) and stopped (in shortly time) just before the cyclic time of current-on (1 sec). Precise Sn-, Fe-, Ni-content dependence of Hc, μi, Bs Hk in films was clarified in a concentrated area around bulk permalloy and hardness of Hv and etching-rate were compared with some electroplated alloy films (81 Ni-Fe, 45 Ni-Fe, permalloy with Sn element). The addition of Sn on Ni-Fe electroplated films not only resulted in (realized) excellent soft magnetic properties, but improved the chemical and mechanical properties.
