Abstract
Even though families with disabilities at the time of disasters are more likely to be socially isolated and inconvenienced, there has been almost no detailed investigations on them. Therefore, in this study, we conducted a questionnaire survey of families with intellectual disabilities focusing on the lessons from the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake. As a result, it turned out that many families with intellectual disabilities have sustained difficulties for months based on various factors. Utilizing our findings, we compiled and distributed a pamphlet (“8 wisdoms acquired from the Kumamoto earthquake”) for the people involved.
