The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of experimental approach in improving residential streets. To this end, we experimentally introduced Woonerf in a residential development which has had parking problems. In this paper, we analyzed the change of residents' acceptance of the proposal, and described our effort to improve the experimental Woonerf. The result shows that the experimental proposal can enhance residents' positive concern toward the project and the problem itself, and, by adopting experimental approach, planners can easily take up the needs of residents, who are most familiar with the residential streets.
