FOR METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLANNING, IT IS URGENT TO DEVELOP MACROSCOPIC POLICY EVALUAT10N MODELS THAT CAN EVALUATE A LOT OF POLICY OPTIONS WITHIN REASONABLE RESORCES. THIS PAPER HAS PROPOSED MACROSCOPIC MODEL USING DENSITY FUNCTIONS, AND POINTED OUT MENTS OF THIS METHOD AS WELL AS PRACTICAL APPLICABILITY IN TERMS OF REPRODUCTION ACCURACY ON SOME MACROSCOPIC EVALUATION INDEX, SUCH AS INBOUND NUMBER OF COMMUTERS TO CENTRAL AREA, AVERAGE AND DISTRIBUTI0N OF HOME-TO-WORK TRAVEL DISTANCE.
