Abstract
In this survey, the authors focus on subway facilities of Tokyo, as one major public transit mode, in studying the suitability of barrier-free facilities provided within station premises. The major objective of these facilities should be to enhance the movement of disabled passengers form one point to another, by providing adequate continuity between each of them. These provisions take the from of sign, and information boards, to help passengers locate the facility easily. Therefore, this article discusses the findings of this survey through a case study.
