Abstract
This study aims to develop the passenger demand forecasting method on Special Bus (SB) for elderly people. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is as follows: the first is to clarify the travel behavior of elderly people and point out present bus service problems, the second is to examine what elderly people and others wish on the introduction of SB, the third is to estimate the transportation mode-change model to SB with incorporating generalized time, and the fifth is to forecast the transportation mode-change demand to SB with three types of service levels using the transportation mode-change model.
