In the process of town planning after the earthquake, the improvement regulations for densely urban housing area was flexibly utilized. In this study, following three points were found out through our investigation for local governments and residents. 1. Substance of each improvement regulation for densely urban housing area. 2. The way in which residents take part in the project. 3. Evaluations for the project by residents.
