地方都市における鉄道駅周辺の駐車場利用実態に関する研究

山形新幹線新庄延伸に伴う駐車場整備を事例として

Parking lots around railway station are expected to revitalize the town center and to expand the demand of railway. In resent years, many parking lots have been provided around stations, for example, the new five stations along Yamagata Shinkansen. So, this paper deals with this project and investigate the characteristics of parking lot uses. We evaluate this project about revitalization of station and personal travel behavior. Parking lot users are divided into facility users and railway users (Park and Ride). There appears to be a large number of users for both purpose. Railway users, especially for Tokyo, often change the selection to station with parking lots. As a result, Station with parking lots have great ability to collect people from around.
