This study aims to make clear the characteristics of the open space on the artifical ground of Senri central district through analysis of user's activities and ownership / management form. As a result. three conclusions have been formulated. First, the open space became continuous for surrounding area on the subway station, not at front of a station. Second, the open space on the artifical ground was open with retail shops because it was formed on building site without the influence of right-of-way. Third, the management of three different operating bodies induced various activities on the open space from a whole day.
