Actual State and Problems of Urban Transport Planning in West Midlands Region

Abstract

In this paper, actual state and problems of urban transport planning in West Midlands region are revealed under England new transport policies with emphasis on region-wide planning. Regional Transport Strategy: RTS and Multimodal Studies: MMS ar e covered mainly by review of documents and interview with relevant planning bodies. As a result, deficiencies and implemen tation problems of the planning process are indicated.
