In this study, we have examined the procedures for developing lesson plans based on the Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework 2011, which is used in early childhood family education in Minnesota, USA. As a result, the following characteristics were revealed. ⑴The procedure by using the Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework 2011 and Indicators consists of three phases: phase 1 and 2 are needs assessment and initial curriculum planning based on these needs, and phase 3 is comprehensive lesson planning and evaluation planning. In the phase 3, a comprehensive lesson plan is created and an evaluation plan is made. In this process, various forms are prepared to plan the curriculum and lesson plans step by step. ⑵Activities for a deeper understanding of the contents of the Parent Education Core Curriculum Framework 2011 and Indicators are presented so that parents can become familiar with parenting theory and practices. ⑶At each phase and step, useful questions and activities are provided, with the intention of enabling parent groups to work collectively.
