A sixth degree profile is used in kármàn-Pohlhausen method for the study of the axially-symmetric flow of a certain single-relaxation-time viscoelastic liquid near a stagnation point, instead of a fourth degree profile used by Sharma. It is found that both the boundary layer thickness and the skin friction decrease with the increase of the viscoelastic parameter-results just the reverse of the corresponding results of the earlier paper, but in agreement with the results of Rathna and Rajeshwari for another model. The reasons for the difference have also been examined. The two dimensional stagnation point flow has also been investigated.
