The gamma rays and the internal conversion electrons following the Eu153(p, 2n)Gd152 and Sm150(α, 2n)Gd152 reactions were measured. The energies and the spins and parities of excited levels of Gd152 were determined to be 344–(2+), 616–(0+), 755–(4+), 931–(2+), 1227–(6+), 1282–(4+), 1668–(6+), 1747–(8+) and 2301-keV(10+) from the relative gamma-ray yields and the conversion coefficients. E0 components were observed in the 616 keV, 587 keV, 527 keV and 441 keV transitions. The dimensionless ratio X of the E0–E2 mixture of 42+→41+ transitions was determined to be 0.14±0.07.
