A modulated structure of nematic phase owing to flexoelectric instability exposed to an electric field, investigated previously by Bobylev and his co-workers, is analyzed from a view point of nonlinearity. It is shown that energy minimum state is a nonlinearly modualted structure. A threshold effect of the electric field in a planar geometry is discussed on the basis of a vortex street model introduced previously by the present author.
