The nuclear magnetic relaxation rate T1−1 of 45Sc in metallic Sc has been measured in the temperature range between 1.3 and 300 K at resonance frequency of 50.0 MHz. T1−1 is proportional to temperature at low temperature below about 150 K and then deviates from the linear relation of T1T=1.60 sec-K and finally shows a temperature independent behavior of T1=8 msec at high temperature above about 200 K. The relaxation rates were also measured as functions of resonance frequency in the temperature range from 1.3 to 4.2 K.
