It is very important that sludge is dryed in advance before the combustion. Generally the multiple effect evaporator is the useful apparatus for the concentration of the liquid, but the apparatus have nòt been used for sludge drying. Though our. experiment was performed in a very small scale and the wall of the experimental apparatus was very thick, it was confirmed that sludge drying with the multiple effect evaporator was possible.
